Town of Bermuda Run Mayor Rick Cross was honored to distribute two checks in the amount of $4,000 each to the Employee Assistance Fund of Davie Medical Center and to Family Promise of Davie County. The proceeds were a result of community members and businesses buying lights in memory or honor of someone for the inaugural Bermuda Run Tree Lighting at WFBH Davie Medical Center. On hand to receive the checks were Davie Medical Center President, Chad Brown, and Family Promise of Davie County Executive Director, Lisa Foster. Special thanks to Rosanne Peacock, Sharon Reid and Christy Schafer for implementing the vision for a community Christmas Tree to reality. Special thanks as well to Bermuda Run Cares for accepting and processing the money raised for the purchase of the lights.
